1Soda Pop
Hollywood mined a rich vein of pop and rock in 2007, creating a sonic backdrop for some of the year's most buzz-worthy films. While the music caught the ears of filmmakers, and subsequently record buyers, many of the best efforts have been bypassed during awards season. US scientists have unveiled a detector thousands of times smaller than the diameter of a human hair that can translate radio waves into sound.According to a University of California team, the study marks the first time that a nano-sized detector has been demonstrated in a working radio system.

WiLDCOAST, a non-profit coastal preservation company, has teamed up with Mitch Yost (Bruce Greenwood - HBO's John from Cincinnati) for a series of public service announcements to fight for clean ocean water and beaches along the SoCal coast. They're using social media to spread the message by launching the videos on YouTube and other sites.

Blacktree, the creator of the popular app Quicksilver, has just released a little application called Nocturne. This program turns your computer into night vision mode. You can change the colors from monochrome to customized RGB values, invert the screen, and more.

KINGSTON - Mike Mowry picked up the season-first 800 series in Kingston with an 802 in Our League and Kyle Marburger rolled a 300 game in Mannie's Barber Shop.
